Mutuka Automotive classifies every vehicle into one of four price segments. Understanding these bands helps dealers and sellers know what to expect — and what process applies to their vehicle.
Economy (≤ R165 000)
The Economy band covers city cars, entry-level hatchbacks and small family vehicles. Examples include the Toyota Yaris, Suzuki Swift and Volkswagen Polo Vivo. Economy valuations are auto-approved — no physical inspection is required, and a price certificate is issued instantly.
Mid-Range (R165 000 – R265 000)
Family sedans, compact SUVs and crossovers fall into the Mid-Range band. Think Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Corolla and Ford Fiesta ST. Like Economy vehicles, Mid-Range submissions are auto-approved on the strength of the model prediction and confidence score.
Premium (R265 000 – R520 000)
Executive sedans, performance hatches and upper-market SUVs sit in the Premium segment. The ML valuation is used as a baseline but a physical inspection by a certified Mutuka assessor is mandatory before a final certificate is issued.
Luxury (> R520 000)
Supercars, high-end imports and collector vehicles require a full independent appraisal. Our senior valuers combine the model output with a market-comparable analysis to arrive at a defensible market price.
