When the AI says a 2014 BMW 3 Series is worth R420 000 and the seller claims R950 000, we need you to go look at the actual car and settle it. A healthy distrust of suspiciously low odometer readings is essential. Experience sniffing out a resprayed accident repair from across a parking lot is strongly preferred.

What you will actually do

  • Conduct 140-point physical inspections for Premium and Luxury band vehicles
  • Validate spec sheets submitted through the platform against physical reality
  • Complete inspection reports in our mobile app within 2 hours of the inspection
  • Flag anomalies that may indicate odometer fraud or undisclosed damage

Requirements

  • WMI or equivalent automotive inspection certification
  • 5+ years in used-vehicle appraisal, fleet management or insurance assessment
  • Own reliable transport; Gauteng-based (JHB/PTA coverage area)
  • Smartphone-literate; our inspection app is simple but must be used

Someone broke production last Tuesday and we need you to dig up what happened. Ongoing responsibilities include writing code that works the first time (we are told this is possible) and surviving code review from a team that cares deeply about variable naming conventions.

What you will actually do

  • Build and maintain the Mutuka prediction API, valuation dashboard and Odoo integration
  • Architect scalable data pipelines for model retraining
  • Write tests — real tests, not the kind that only pass on your laptop
  • On-call rotation (light — the model rarely has feelings at 3am)

Requirements

  • 5+ years Python; FastAPI or similar REST framework
  • PostgreSQL, Docker, Linux — comfortable at command line
  • scikit-learn or equivalent ML-serving experience
  • Git hygiene that does not make reviewers cry

What you will actually do

  • Own the onboarding experience for new dealer and fleet accounts
  • Manage the support inbox — target: 4-hour first response, same-day resolution
  • Gather client feedback and translate it into product improvement tickets
  • Run monthly account reviews with our top 20 clients

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a client-facing SaaS or technology role
  • Automotive industry background a significant plus

  • Own the company narrative, investor deck and press releases
  • Translate data-science output into language non-scientists find exciting
  • Partner with the CEO on fundraising and partnership conversations
  • Keep the website copy honest (within reason)

Requirements

  • 5+ years in strategy, comms, or product marketing at a technology company
  • Comfortable with quantitative concepts — you do not need to code, but you do need to understand what a p-value is
  • Exceptional written English; isiZulu or Afrikaans a strong advantage
  • South African market experience required

Must be able to explain what a p-value is at a braai without boring everyone to tears. Bonus: experience explaining why your model was 98% accurate on test data but 60% accurate in production.

What you will actually do

  • Own the valuation model — feature engineering, training, evaluation, monitoring
  • Build brand-correction and confidence-scoring layers on top of the base model
  • Collaborate with engineering to productionise model updates with zero downtime
  • Publish internal model-performance reports for the board

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost); SQL; Jupyter
  • Automotive or financial pricing domain knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement
  • South African market knowledge preferred
